In true Rockstar fashion, news regarding Grand Theft Auto V has been scarce. However, two new screens did escape the company’s vault in response to a question that was posed to the writers who man its Ask & Answered column. What that question read was, “Will you provide us with more news?”
Although the intrepid gamer who queried Rockstar did get something for his troubles, repeatedly asking them for more information or media probably won’t work. That’s because the team responsible for Grand Theft Auto V wants to ensure that those who buy it will be surprised by its features, and has no intention of ruining anything unnecessarily. That, and they want to make sure to “only release 100% correct information.” Those reasons were outlined in the body of the response which contained the images. It’s featured below for your reading pleasure.
“We don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans’ ‘don’t respect our fans’ ‘hate GTA fans etc’ – precisely the opposite,” a Rockstar employee stated. “We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.”
It’s nice to hear Rockstar‘s stance regarding GTA V, and I fully appreciate where they’re coming from. The series’ previous releases have been full of amazing secrets and incredibly entertaining secondary elements, so I’d hate to have those ruined for me in any way, shape or form. Though that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see a spoiler-free trailer for the game.
