Beta weekend 2.0 will kick off this Friday, October 21 and will do away with the requirement of pre-ordering the triple-A sequel to gain access. Confirming the good news on the official Call of Duty Twitter page, Activision said: “Only 2 hours left in Weekend 1, but we’ve got good news: @InfinityWard is opening Weekend 2 to all PS4 players, no pre-order needed!”

While the page makes no mention of it, GameSpot reports that the pre-order requirement is still in place for Xbox One, which was excluded from the first test. If you’re on PC, you’ll have to wait until launch day for your first taste of Infinite Warfare, as there’s no plans to hold a beta on the platform.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 4 worldwide, with certain editions including a digital copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. If you’re planning to sell on your copy of the former once you’ve used your Modern Warfare code, think again, Activision has all the bases covered, it seems.
