Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is barrelling down on its November 4 release date, bringing with it the release of the hotly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Available via IW‘s Legacy Edition – and not as a standalone title, sadly – it seems the multiplayer servers are already live across PS4 and Xbox One, meaning you can bask in the nostalgia ahead of time. To do so, you’ll have to pre-install MW Remastered (37.2GB) via that Legacy Edition, and though Activision is pulling numerous videos and Twitch streams – the official embargo is expected to lift later this week – cast an eye over Twitter or Reddit and you’ll find plenty of discussion about Infinity Ward’s overhaul.
Struggling to access the multiplayer component? Twitter user @Digital_Peasant has zeroed in on a workaround:

Perhaps most interesting of all is news that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will feature 20 prestige levels in total, twice the amount found in the beloved 2007 original. A screenshot confirming the additional levels can be seen below, while Activision has also issued an official message warning early adopters that the shooter’s servers are subject to downtime and hitches in the build up to launch.
Modern Warfare Remastered officially launches on November 4. Day 1 prep is in full swing as we are heads down making final adjustments to launch. In other words, game servers will be intermittent and unavailable at times as we make final adjustments before Friday. Thank you for your patience!
Both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered deploy for duty on November 4. Stay frosty.
