Chad Goodmurphy’s 10 Best Video Games Of 2015

Like those before it, 2015 was a busy year for the gaming industry, as it continues to grow and incorporate new technologies. Nothing ever stays dormant or quiet in an industry such as this, and there were no shortages of things to talk about throughout this last calendar year, including technical blunders, public relations screw-ups and different controversies. What we'll remember most, though, are the games. After all, it's the games that we're all obsessed with, and the reason why this business exists.

10) Tales From The Borderlands

The last generation of consoles introduced some great new IPs, and Borderlands continues to be one of the best, not to mention one of the most successful.

I’ve enjoyed all three of the mainline Borderlands games that have been released so far (although The Pre-Sequel! was somewhat disappointing), and consider myself a pretty big fan. As such, I was elated to hear that Telltale would be bringing its episodic expertise to the colourful world of Pandora with Tales From the Borderlands, which proved its worth and oozed quality from the get-go.

From start to finish, Tales From the Borderlands was a wild ride, and something that I will remember fondly. It’s not the type of game that one will easily forget, as it’s chock full of personality and grabs you by the balls from its opening segments. There are also so many memorable scenes and insane set-ups to be found here that only the Borderlands universe could deliver.

While I wouldn’t say that this is Telltale’s best game, it’s definitely one of their greatest triumphs, and stands as a must-play for those who like the genre. That, as well as anyone who considers themselves a Borderlands fan like myself. It’s a home run in colourful, episodic form.
