Far Cry 4: Escape From Durgesh Prison DLC Will Add A Difficult Challenge Next Month

Far Cry 4 will really put gamers' skills to the test next month, with the January 13th release of its Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC. Why is that? Well, not only is the add-on going to exist as a timed trial for players to endure, but it will also be quite difficult and borrow the perma-death feature from classic roguelikes.

Far Cry 4 will really put gamers’ skills to the test next month, with the January 13th release of its Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC. Why is that? Well, not only is the add-on going to exist as a timed trial for players to endure, but it will also be quite difficult and borrow the perma-death feature from classic roguelikes.

Available as part of the game’s $30 Season Pass, or as a standalone $10 download, Far Cry 4: Escape from Durgesh Prison will be playable in both solo and co-operative play. Once initiated, though, it won’t discriminate and will present a “difficult” challenge for both Ajay and his pal Hurk to withstand.

Here’s a quick description of the DLC, which comes to us from Ubisoft’s holiday blast:

In Escape from Durgesh Prison, Ajay and Hurk wake up after being captured, tortured and stripped of their weapons in Yuma’s prison. Thrown in the dangerous world of Kyrat without anything to defend themselves with, players will complete a series of challenges to find weapons and unlock new skills while trying to reach the extraction point to safety.

Needless to say, you’ll want to hone your Far Cry 4 skills and find a trustworthy friend before attempting to Escape from Durgesh Prison. If not, it may prove to be a frustrating experience, depending on Ubisoft’s definition of “difficult.”
