Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Crytek UK, as according to a report out of Kotaku, a majority of the staff at the company’s Nottingham-based office have stopped coming into work. The news about the Homefront: The Revolution developer’s financial woes first surfaced late last month.

Citing sources close to the situation, Kotaku claims that around 100 people have left the office over unpaid wages following the cancellation of Ryse 2 earlier this year. While it is not known at this time whether or not these staff members plan to outright quit Crytek UK or are just sitting out until further notice, it remains a troubling matter for the studio.

With all of the uncertainty surrounding Crytek UK, Homefront: The Revolution publisher Deep Silver now find themselves in a bit of an odd situation. With development on the title well underway by now, it’s unlikely that the publisher wishes to cancel the title outright. Rumors seem to suggest that Crytek and Deep Silver are currently in negotiations about what to do with the upcoming title, so hopefully this matter can be cleared up soon, so that development can resume in full.

We will continue to bring you the latest news on the fate of Crytek UK and Homefront: The Revolution when it becomes available.
