The run up to E3 is always fun to behold. Leaks, rumors and announcements leading up to the annual event almost always generate as much excitement as the actual exhibition, and it looks like this year is no exception to the rule.
YouTube channel ‘The Know’ released a video over the weekend that dumped a huge amount of – still unconfirmed – info about the rumored E3 announcement of Dark Souls 3. It was already reported last week by sources close to website VG247 that Dark Souls 3 would be officially announced at E3, but the new details seem to have essentially all but confirmed that the title is, in fact, real.
Aside from the leaked screenshots, a whole host of gameplay details were also revealed in the video, chief among them being a new ‘sacrifice system’ that’s sure to get player vs. player fans frothing at the mouth in anticipation. The system will supposedly enable you to ‘sacrifice’ enemies that you’ve defeated in their world as a means to invade other players. And if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, how about a boss ‘heat up’ system that introduces different variables into each fight to change up how you play?
It all sounds too good to be true, right?
Check out the leaked images above and stay tuned as we’re sure to hear more about Dark Souls 3 at E3 next week.
