Xur’s back once again in Destiny, offering a fresh batch of new Exotic gear for Guardians to browse at their leisure, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? The vendor’s first visit following the arrival of Destiny‘s final ever sandbox update Age of Triumph earlier this week, Bungie has seen fit to give Xur’s existing inventory an upgrade, adding in new weapon bundles that group together an Exotic weapon with a compatible Ornament. They’ll set you back a hefty 30 Strange Coins and 25 Silver Dust, though, so mull the decision over before you hit buy.
You can find the tentacle-faced merchant chilling out at the Tower this week, where he’s opted to hang out by the Crucible Quartermaster, and he’s got a piece of Exotic gear on sale for each of the Hunter, Titan and Warlock classes as well as an Exotic weapon.
Check out the full inventory below:
- Legacy engram (leg armor) – 31 Strange Coins
- Ruin Wings (Titan gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins
- Astrocyte Verse (Warlock helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Frost-EE5 (Hunter leg armor) – 13 Strange Coins
- No Land Beyond (sniper rifle) – 17 Strange Coins
- Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
- Monte Carlo and Royal Flush Ornament (bundle) – 30 Strange Coins and 25 Silver Dust
- Zhalo Supercell and Shock Hazard Ornament (bundle) – 30 Strange Coins and 25 Silver Dust
If you don’t already own it, your priority this week is, without a doubt, the No Land Beyond sniper rifle. While it suffers from poor reload times due to its single-shot nature, the rifle’s ability to be equipped in the Primary weapon slot makes the purchase worth it. Sadly, however, Bungie’s latest round of tweaks took away the flinch immunity it benefited from over standard snipers, although it’s still worth grabbing, if only for its unique nature. As for the new bundles, while it’s nice that Guardians can now pick up their favorite weapon alongside an Ornament, purchasing both separately is actually cheaper. Go figure.
Xur leaves Destiny‘s shores on Sunday, April 2, so don’t leave it too long to pay the vendor a visit.
