Now approaching a full year since it was first teased, Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios have slated Dishonored 2 for a release on November 11, when the long-awaited stealth sequel will slink out of the shadows and onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Set to adorn the new issue of Game Informer – with a reveal expected later today, May 4 – Bethesda has also confirmed plans to unveil the sequel’s first gameplay trailer during its sophomore E3 press event on June 12.
Teeing up the stories of Emily Kaldwin and the royal protector, Corvo Attano, Dishonored 2 was initially slated for an arrival in spring of this year, but was ultimately nudged in favor of id Software’s imminent DOOM reboot.
Lending players the chance to step back into the shoes of a deadly, supernatural assassin, Bethesda’s official logline hints at the journey that awaits come November:
Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.
It’s official: Dishonored 2 will arrive on November 11. To whet your appetite, look for the maiden gameplay trailer to debut during Bethesda’s E3 showcase, itself pegged for June 12th at 7pm PST.
