Thedas beckons once again, dear explorers, as BioWare has confirmed the release date for Jaws of Hakkon – the maiden story-centric expansion for Dragon Age: Inquisition – on Xbox 360 and PlayStation platforms.
Previously, the DLC was exclusive to Xbox One and PC, and the studio irked some of the title’s loyal fans when it couldn’t reveal the release date for said expansion due to an exclusivity deal between BioWare and Microsoft.
Here’s the official confirmation per Twitter:

As it turns out, much like Microsoft’s partnership with Activision for Call of Duty, this exclusivity is set to last for approximately a month before the DLC proliferates to other platforms. This is a tactic that we’re only seeing more and more of with publishers striking deals with hardware owners – and vice versa – in order to ensure that the product is able to capture the right audience. It’s a question of mindshare, essentially.
In terms of Jaws of Hakkon itself, Dragon Age: Inquisition owners can look forward to exploring the lore behind the last Inquisitor, essentially learning about of the lost chapters in Thedas’ bloody history. Moreover, the expansion will bring about a hoard of “powerful new foes,” as well as legendary weaponry allowing players to put these new-fangled beasts to the sword.
Following its exclusive release for Xbox One and PC, Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s Jaws of Hakkon DLC will roar onto Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on May 26.
