EA Kicks Things Off With FIFA 15 Demo; Hits Xbox Platforms Today, PSN Tomorrow

With Sony laying claim to every corner of Bungie’s sci-fi shooter Destiny, Microsoft fans can take solace in the fact that the demo for EA’s FIFA 15 will arrive today on Xbox platforms, whereas PlayStation users will have to wait until tomorrow. (It’s also understood that the vertical slice will make its way onto PC today, too.)

At 3GB in size, the trial is by no means a half measure, with budding soccer fans having the opportunity to take to the field as either Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester City, Boca Juniors, Paris St. Germain and Napoli.

For those who play FIFA 15 on either Xbox One or 360, you can also look forward to testing out the Ultimate Team Legends — a mode exclusive to Microsoft’s platform — which is set to introduce fans of the series to such footballing legends as Sir. Bobby Charlton and goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. In addition, a small portion of the lucrative Ultimate Team will be made available in the demo.

The latest entry into EA’s seemingly evergreen soccer series is expected to add the usual refinements brought about with each passing iteration. Although, this is the first incarnation built with the current-gen systems in mind, and is poised to take full advantage of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by rendering the beautiful game like never before — at least, that’s what EA would have you believe.

FIFA 15 is set to launch across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS, Vita and PC on September 26th.
