With all signs pointing to Garden Warfare 2, the clip above unveils little-to-no information about the imminent reveal, though the fact that EA has opted to showcase the project during Microsoft’s event on June 15 effectively confirms its existence. After all, both companies agreed to a similar arrangement for the original Garden Warfare in 2014, one which ensured the 3D shooter enjoyed a period of exclusivity on Xbox platforms before uprooting and migrating over to PlayStation hardware six months later.

Last month, a leaked EA document pegged a mysterious Plants Vs. Zombies game for a release in the early stages of 2016, which would align with PopCap’s tease for a Garden Warfare 2. Representing a significant shift away from the tower defence set-up of the original, the third-person title evolved the beloved IP into a third-person shooter replete with character classes and RPG-esque progression systems. Microsoft will step into the limelight to host its own presser at 9:30 PDT and 12:30 ET on June 15, and we’ll have all the coverage of this Plants Vs. Zombies reveal – not to mention everything else the publisher showcases – right here for you on We Got This Covered.
