For anyone who’s familiar with EA’s track record when it comes to delaying triple-A game releases, the worrying-sounding news title you clicked on to get here might make your heart sink. But try not to worry – EA’s COO Peter Moore has told the most recent issue of MCV that Star Wars Battlefront looks to be on course to meet its scheduled November 20 release date.

You can’t ship it if it doesn’t work or the quality isn’t right. You just bite the bullet. Trust me, shipping Hardline in March was not the easiest thing to do from a business perspective, but it was the right thing to do from a player perspective. We’d have no compunction, no hesitation that if something went wrong with Battlefront, if it wasn’t right, we would just push it.

But that’s not going to happen. The game is playable with 40-players already, and it is rock solid, so it ain’t going to happen.

Moore’s comments certainly sound promising, and Star Wars Battlefront does look absolutely terrific as of writing, but unforeseen circumstances can rear their ugly head at any time. Either way, it looks like EA are determined to avoid having to delay such a hugely-anticipated title as this one by getting everything right the first time around.

What are your thoughts on Moore’s comments, though? Do you think there’s still the possibility of Star Wars: Battlefront being delayed, or are you satisfied that EA can deliver based on what they’ve shown off already? Let us know in the comments below.
