FIFA Ultimate Team, EA’s lucrative online component within FIFA 15 that has kept players hooked with its addicting card collecting and player comparison features, is poised to get a big shake up today after the publisher confirmed that price ranges will be implemented in a bid to clamp down on coin sellers.
As a result, the in-game Transfer Market was taken offline for a few hours across all console platforms, though EA has confirmed that the service is back online following the update.

Essentially, the patch has been designed to “further restrict illegitimate coin transfers on the transfer market,” resulting in all FIFA Ultimate Team components — including players, in-forms, consumables, and club items — receiving limits that standardize the highest and lowest amount that said item can be sold for on the market.
Here’s a brief extract of what FIFA 15‘s latest update heralds:
- Help FUT gamers understand the value of the players in their Club.
- Make high-rated players more attainable for all FUT gamers and ensure a level playing field.
- Further restrict illegitimate coin transfers on the Transfer Market.
