If you’re one of the few to have blazed through the story campaign of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and are now pining for more content – you’re in luck. Developer Eidos Montreal is primed to roll out the sequel’s maiden piece of DLC today, September 23, and we now have the first trailer to pour over.
Entitled System Rift, this expansion will likely strike a chord with ardent Deus Ex fans, given it features Frank Pritchard – a friend and former colleague to series hero Adam Jensen at Sarif Industries – in a prominent role. Pritchard first cropped up in Human Revolution and here, we get to see both Adam and Frank fighting out of the same corner once more, this time calling upon the help of ShadowChild to infiltrate Prague’s Palisade Blades. Cyberpunk action ensues.
The official description from Eidos describes the story-centric add-on as so: “Desperate to get more information, Pritchard targets one of the most secure data banks ever created – the Palisade Blade,” the description adds. “In agreeing to help, Adam may also be able to uncover hints as to who the illuminati really are.”
Further down the pipeline, we know that the studio is prepping a second – and final – piece of DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided called A Criminal Past. It’s due to launch in the early stages of 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC and will, in all likelihood, herald the inclusion of even more characters from Jensen’s past.
System Rift, on the other hand, becomes available for all Deus Ex: Mankind Divided players today, September 23. Will you be joining forces with Frank Pritchard?
