Xbox Boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that Gears of War Ultimate Edition won’t launch for PC until after its release on Xbox One next month.

Taking to Twitter, the Microsoft executive noted that the Windows 10 version isn’t set for a simultaneous launch with the console version, and without confirming a potential release date, PC owners will unfortunately have to wait until the publisher is ready to share more information.

Running at a native 1080p and 60fps, The Coalition has been gradually releasing new details for the soon-to-be-released remaster over the past few weeks, including a bunch of screenshots trumpeting the visual improvements and the 44GB file size. In addition, Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Xbox One will include five extra chapters that were previously only released for PC.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is now little over a month away from its console debut, with The Coalition’s remastered shooter due to hit Xbox One on August 25. No word yet on a specific release date for the PC version, but we’ll keep you posted as this story develops.
