The CGI trailers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have shown a great deal of promise, leading us to believe that the game will pretty much deliver on all fronts, but receiving a glimpse of some actually gameplay footage never hurt anyone either. Well actually, it kind of did hurt me, because now I am more aggravated than ever that the game was delayed into 2015. But that’s beside the point.
During Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference this morning, we finally got a good look at what the new Witcher game will play like. The footage saw series protagonist Geralt on a side quest hunting a Griffin. Why? Because it’s an RPG and you have to kill stuff to make money so you can buy stuff, and kill more stuff, but deadlier and faster!
Nevertheless, Geralt gets distracted by some bandits along the way, but quickly disposes of them with some free-flowing sword based combat mixed in with his usual magical spells. Afterwards, Geralt slays the Griffin.
Man, the life of a Witcher looks like a blast. Too bad we have to until 2015 to get our hands on this one. In the meantime, check out some new gameplay footage from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt below and let us know what you think.
