With the lush rolling hills of Toussaint in sight, Geralt of Rivia preps for one final quest in today’s launch trailer for Blood and Wine, the second and final expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Priced at $19.99 as a standalone purchase – Season Pass holders will be able to download the DLC from the off next week – Blood and Wine is a sizeable step up from last year’s Hearts of Stone in terms of content, boasting a 30-hour adventure replete with new quests to complete and monsters to slay.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.
Now that developer CD Projekt Red has all but wrapped up work on The Witcher 3, the esteemed studio will be turning its attention to the long-in-development Cyberpunk 2077.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine is due to land across consoles and PC on Tuesday, May 31.
