In what is becoming an increasingly regular scenario in the industry, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has launched headfirst into online issues, with many Xbox One owners having difficulties trying to join a game on the compilation’s multiplayer component.
Microsoft moved quickly to acknowledge the problems, and released the following message stating that the publisher is indeed working with an external partner to rectify the online-centric issues immediately.
“Xbox members, are you having a tough time matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection? As you read this message, we’re working with our external partner to correct this issue right away. We appreciate your patience in the meantime! We’ll update you again when we have more information.”
The Redmond-based software giant also noted that its engineers were working to help those users who had run into problems when trying to download additional content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (a problem that is by no means exclusive to Microsoft’s platforms). Moreover, we understand that issues found in the recently-released Project Spark are also between the company’s crosshairs.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched today exclusively for Xbox One. In our review, we found the comprehensive bundle to be the ultimate experience for fans of Bungie’s seminal shooter. Here’s what we concluded:
“Despite some technical hiccups and a few nagging issues that were carried over from the original series, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an excellent and remarkably well put together compilation.”
