Ubisoft kicked up quite the fuss a few weeks back when it announced that the console versions of Assassin’s Creed: Unity would be locked at 900p. But today, the French publisher is putting that to one side to focus on the PC edition of the game, after publishing the minimum and required specifications you’ll need before embarking into unforgiving cauldron that is French Revolution.
Here’s the detailed list of specs, via IGN:
Minimum PC Specs:
Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz processor
6 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM) video cardRecommended PC Specs:
Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better processor
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X (3 GB VRAM) video card
Additionally, the following requirements must be met:Mandatory Requirements:
Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit versions only)
DirectX Version 11
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers
50 GB available HDD space
By comparison, Unity is very much a step up over last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, with an extra 2GB of RAM required in across minimum and recommended SKUs. Much like other triple-A PC titles, Assassin’s Creed: Unity weighs in at a rather hefty size, requiring a full 50GB of hard drive space before you even get the ball in motion.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is creeping ever closer to release, with Ubisoft’s take on the French Revolution — which introduces co-op gameplay to the long-running franchise — due to release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on November 11th in North America.
