For the people of 26th-century earth, a hero just gave his life for the greater good of humanity. For Halo fans, a mascot may have just passed the torch to a new generation. Or has he?
Debuting during last night’s U.S. Sunday night football kickoff, Halo 5: Guardians‘ latest TV spot mourned the passing of one of its finest and the face of the franchise for the past fourteen years. Whether our planet has said its last farewell to its greatest hero for good is unclear, but we’ll uncover the truth about The Demon’s whereabouts for ourselves with Spartan Agent Locke and Fire Team Osiris this fall.
We’ll answer the call of duty in Halo 5: Guardians when it drops on Xbox One this October 27th in what Microsoft anticipates to be a smoother launch than last fall’s The Master Chief Collection. The game will also be available with a statuesque collector’s edition and a limited edition Xbox One bundle decked out in Spartan colors.
