The final episode in Hitman‘s six-part first season launches October 31 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, developer IO Interactive has announced.
Episode 6: Hokkaido will see Agent 47 travel to Japan to take out two targets in the “climactic season finale,” which is set within the grounds of the “hyper-exclusive” GAMA private hospital and resort. Splicing traditional Japanese beauty together with cutting-edge technology, players can look forward to skulking through Zen gardens, sushi restaurants and Japanese hot springs come Halloween, a teaser for which you can see above.
IO says the main mission included with Episode 6 is called Situs Inversus, and represents a “culmination of everything players will have learnt in terms of both gameplay and story,” since their first mission in Paris.
As has been the case with previous episodes, future Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets and player-made Featured Contracts will all take place in the new map, featuring the “usual array of weapon and gear unlocks that can be used across all previous locations.”
With Hitman‘s first season now set to officially end later this month, it likely won’t be long until fans start the guessing game of when the inevitable second season begins. No official announcement, let alone a start date, has been mentioned by IO or publisher Square Enix just yet, but you can probably expect to hear more once the dust has settled on Season One.
A physical release for Hitman will hit retail on January 31, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
