Masahiro Sakurai, creative director behind Super Smash Bros., took to Miiverse today to post a couple of interesting teases that hints at two exclusive modes that are on their way to the Wii U version of the game.
The image, which you can feast your eyes on above, seems to point towards a pair of nebulous modes located within Super Smash Bros.’ single-player. With the second word obscured in each title, all we have to go on is ‘Master’ and ‘Crazy,’ though we assume that these Wii U-exclusive game modes will be similar to those found in New Super Smash Bros. Wii — such as Gold Rush, for instance.
Of course, we can’t be 100% sure until Sakurai-san releases further information, be it through Miiverse or directly via press release. Nonetheless, we’ll keep you right up-to-date with all the news for Nintendo’s upcoming brawler as it appears.
Super Smash Bros. is already selling like gangbusters on Nintendo’s 3DS handheld, where the title has racked up a noteworthy 2.8 million sales thus far. How the title will fare on Wii U — a platform with an instal base that pales in comparison to its next of kin — remains to be seen, but if those aforementioned modes prove to be exclusive to The Big N’s flagship console, then ardent fans may just have enough reason to double dip.
At long last, Super Smash Bros. will finally grace the Wii U on November 21st in North America, while those in Europe will have to wait that little bit longer before the brawler arrives on December 5th.
