Nintendo may be planning to give 3DS owners the chance to play Pokemon Sun and Moon early if a recent listing spotted on the Korean Game Ratings board is anything to go by.
Named as Sun Moon, Pokemon Special Trial, the rating was, as stated by IGN, granted the day after last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation which, coincidentally, provided brand new footage of the seventh generation titles. If such a demo is on the way, we’d have thought that the Big N would have announced its existence during that stream, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
With that said, there is a precedent for such a thing. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire received a special demo ahead of release, which featured a unique series of quests and rewards for the main game.
Pokemon Sun and Moon will launch for Nintendo 3DS on November 18. Those that pre-order either title ahead of release will receive a code for a special Munchlax that, when it evolves into the bigger, fatter Snorlax, can perform a special Z-Move – investigating attacks that can only be used once per battle.
We’ll let you know if Nintendo or Game Freak confirm the existence of a demo, so be sure to check back.
