Scarlet is a rare glitch character from Mortal Kombat 2 that would happen in the Living Forest stage where Mileena's outfit would sometimes turn red. Mortal Kombat fans called this glitch 'Mileena form Scarlet'. Kintaro is a tiger-striped Shokan (the same species as Goro) who first appeared as the sub-boss from Mortal Kombat 2. DLC characters in fighting games are a relatively new thing, with Soulcalibur IV being one of the first. The whole idea of paying more money for additional characters in a fighting game strikes me as odd, but I guess it is cheaper than the alternative. In 1993 and 1994, Capcom released Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II within a year of each other as full priced games for the SNES and Genesis, even though the main difference between the two games was just four additional characters!

I was really impressed by the recent PS3 demo for the new Mortal Kombat game and I’ll definitely be picking up the full game. Anybody going to buy this DLC the day it comes out?
