Konami Announces Birds Of Steel

Konami has announced that they will be releasing a new World War II era air combat simulator for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Birds of Steel. Birds of Steel is developed by Gaijin Entertainment and will let players take part in some of the most important air battles of World War II, including the battles of Midway, Guadalcanal, Coral Sea, the Siege of Malta and even the attack on Pearl Harbor in both single player and multiplayer modes.

Konami has announced that they will be releasing a new World War II era air combat simulator for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Birds of Steel.

Birds of Steel is developed by Gaijin Entertainment and will let players take part in some of the most important air battles of World War II, including the battles of Midway, Guadalcanal, Coral Sea, the Siege of Malta and even the attack on Pearl Harbor in both single player and multiplayer modes. Players will be able to choose from over 100 well-known fighters from both the allied and axis forces, like the Spitfire, P-51D Mustang, the Messerchmitt 109 and even the Zero.

Gamers will be able to battle it out in various co-op and versus modes, with up to 16 players, which will include team death matches, cooperative strike campaigns, “Capture the Airfield” missions and tournament play. To really stick it to your friends after a hard fought battle there will also be the option to view and share replays of your battles.

  • 20 historical and lots of fictional missions, spanning 15 world-famous campaigns (including DLC)
  • Over 100 famous aircraft
  • Dynamic Online Campaign
  • Realistic flight environments, weather conditions, time-of-day changes
  • Enhanced flight controls
  • Monthly dogfight tournaments and arena game play
  • Ability to create, edit and share videos of game play
