Another round of leaks involving Apex Legends has hit the internet today, this time involving unreleased concept art for what appears to be several new characters for the popular battle royale title. The unintended spillage has been discovered by Twitter user Shrugtal, who so far has posted a number of screenshots depicting faces we’ve yet to see show up in the live game. Given the high calibre of artistic talent on display in the images, it’s tough to label them as anything other than genuine, especially as unused character select screen icons for each have already been discovered in the depths of Apex Legends‘ files.
As if that wasn’t enough, one of the leaks appears to show an unfinished 3D render of the heavily rumoured character Octane. Assuming all the hubbub surrounding the latter holds true, we could be witnessing his arrival alongside the commencement of Apex Legends‘ seasonal alternative to Fortnite‘s Battle Pass. As for today’s information dump, though, we’ve collated all the images for your viewing pleasure below.
So, just how many characters is Respawn working on behind closed doors? In the absence of any official commentary from the horse’s mouth, it’s tough to say, but the figure, if leaks are to be believed, just pushes past the double-digit mark. As per BlastingNews, that list of names includes the following:
- Nomad
- Octane
- Prophet
- Husaria
- Jericho
- Rampart
- Blackout
- Crypto
- Rosie
- Skunner
- Wattson
As it stands, there’s every chance that the commencement of Apex Legends‘ Battle Pass could coincide with the release of more than just a single character, but it’s worthwhile to note that some of the names above could well be little more than leftover concepts that Respawn decided against pursuing. Either way, expect a blowout of new details to emerge for the battle royale heavyweight over the coming days, and be sure to let us know in the comments below which potential new character you like the look of most!
