Rocksteady has capped off its three-part Ace Chemicals series for Batman: Arkham Knight with the third and final gameplay trailer that sees The Caped Crusader putting boots to asses in style.
After focusing on the Batmobile — which will play a heavy part in your plight against the goons — and some of the moment-to-moment combat, this latest snippet culminates on everything that came before it and offers fans an extensive look at the kind of gameplay they can expect when the sequel makes its long-awaited debut in June of next year.
Orbiting around a Batman who has reached the pinnacle of his powers, Arkham Knight will see The Dark Knight go up against a whole array of formidable foes as he looks to bring peace back to the city of Gotham once more. Led by Scarecrow, the ragtag cast of villains include the likes of Harley Quinn, Two Face, The Penguin and the Arkham Knight — a character exclusive to Rocksteady’s universe that has been described as a militarized version of Batman himself.
From this latest trailer, it’s clear that Rocksteady’s trilogy-capper is shaping up to be one of the better looking games of 2015. The weather effects coupled with the stunning attention to detail on Batman’s suit and indeed his vehicle are second to none, and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the Batmobile next year to see if the studio has sent out their rendition of Bruce Wayne out with aplomb.
Batman: Arkham Knight is still a ways away from release, as Rocksteady’s conclusive chapter in the Arkham series isn’t due to swoop into retail stores until June 2, 2015. But in the interim, you can let us know your own thoughts on the studio’s upcoming threequel in the comments section down below.
