As we approach the hectic holiday season, one Xbox exclusive that is standing head and shoulders above the rest for some fans is Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Combining all of the major releases in the seminal first-person franchise — namely Halo and Halo 2: Anniversary Edition, Halo 3 and Halo 4 — the premium bundle is undoubtedly beginning to catch people’s eyes.
Now, with less than a week to go until release, Microsoft and 343 Industries have unveiled the launch trailer for the collection all the while confirming that the game’s mandatory day one update — which is available to download now ahead of time — has shed 5GB, bringing the massive patch down to a more reasonable 15GB.
[zergpaid]According to the studio, the day-one update will add some in-game content and multiplayer features, ensuring that, when you eventually do boot up the collection for the very first time, it will be as complete and fully-featured as possible.
One of the most enticing features of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the fact that it contains guaranteed access to the upcoming beta for the next chapter in 343’s shooter, Halo 5: Guardians, due to kick off in late December.
Xbox One owners who have pre-ordered can currently pre-load Halo: The Master Chief Collection to ensure they’re ready to play from the get-go when the game releases next Tuesday, November 11th.
