With the release of Never Alone set for next week, E-Line Media and Upper One Games have released a new launch trailer for the title showcasing its wintry charms. The game, which is also known as Kisima Ingitchuna, will release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
Based around Alaskan indigenous stories, Never Alone is an atmospheric platformer that was developed in collaboration with the Cook Inlet Tribal Council. Telling eight distinctive stories, the title places gamers into the shoes of a young Iñupiaq girl named Nuna and her arctic fox as they travel to the source of an endless blizzard in hopes of stopping it.
In an industry that tends to recycle the same ideas over and over again, Never Alone is poised to be a refreshing change of pace. Alaskan indigenous folklore is a topic rarely discussed in the world of gaming, so the fact that E-Line Media and Upper One Games have set out to tell this story is a minor victory already.
Never Alone will launch on November 18th, and will carry a cost of $14.99. While we wait patiently for the title, why not take a look at the launch trailer and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
