With PlayStation Vita sales struggling worldwide, many gamers were expecting to hear some big announcements for the handheld during Sony’s E3 press conference. Not only did that not happen, but the company also didn’t bother to give us release dates for software we already knew about, like LittleBigPlanet Vita. While we still don’t know exactly when Sackboy’s next adventure will arrive in the West, we are now hearing talk that it could hit later this year.
According to an Andriasang report, the respected Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently listed LittleBigPlanet Vita for a “Fall 2012” release. Of course, this date only applies to Japan but it would stand to reason that Sony would be shooting for a worldwide release for one of their top IPs.
As soon as Sony locks down release date for LittleBigPlanet Vita we will report it, but for now it looks like there is a decent chance that the title will hit retail before the end of this year. In the meantime check out the game’s E3 2012 screenshots in our gallery below.
