A new trailer for Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege was revealed through Gamescom 2015, and focused its attention on a brand new location for the upcoming game.
The footage features a tense assault on the harbour as GSG9 units sweep through the desolate setting, despatching terrorist threats with calculated precision. The remainder of the harbour appears derelict and abandoned, suggesting the GSG9 may have been involved in a struggle to wrench control of it back from the terrorists for quite some time.
Much of the action in the trailer builds on a lot of what was revealed at E3, with gear like riot shields being employed again and again by the counter-terrorism unit. Destructible environments also seem to play a part in the team’s progression through the harbour, building on some of the tactical elements that Ubisoft touted at their E3 presentation.
The German unit, GSG9, are available for testing in the game’s Gamescom demos, and Rainbow Six Siege will release on October 13th, 2015.
