Two major upcoming titles will be receiving Xbox One bundles, as Microsoft announced today that both Madden NFL 15 and Sunset Overdrive will be bundled with the console later this year. A spokesperson for the company revealed the news to Polygon last week.
Set to release alongside the title’s launch on August 26, the Madden NFL 15 bundle will include a Kinect-less version of the Xbox One and a digital copy of the game. The bundle will carry a cost of $399 and will also come with three Pro Packs for Madden Ultimate Team. So essentially, you will be getting a copy of Madden for free with the purchase of an Xbox One, since $399 is the typical cost for the Kinect-less version of the console.
As one of Microsoft’s big releases for the fall, it is not surprising that Sunset Overdrive would be the recipient of its own bundle. What is a little surprising, though, is the fact that the bundle will apparently include a white version of the console, which has been rumored for release for months now. Of course, Sony is set to release a white version of the PlayStation 4 alongside Destiny, so I suppose the console battle extends to paint jobs now as well.
No information regarding price or release date has been released for the white Xbox One bundle, but expect it to release alongside Sunset Overdrive on October 28.
To our non-Xbox One owning readers, I ask, would you be interested in picking up either of these bundles when they launch? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
