Developer Techland has announced plans to showcase all-new expansion for Dying Light next month at Gamescom. As the acclaimed parkour title approaches its half-year anniversary, this new content will reportedly allow budding zombie-slayers to experience the game from a “totally new angle,” and the clip above appears to suggest that a new playable area and vehicles will topline the update.
No word yet on whether said content will be included through Dying Light‘s season pass, but you can catch a glimpse of the new area in question at around the 2:00 marker in the video above.
In tandem with today’s teaser, Producer Tymon Smektala offered a little more information about what to expect in a few weeks’ time.
“We’re really excited to finally be able to show this major project we’ve been secretly working on since the release of the game. This is Dying Light from totally new angle, but with everything fans love about the original still at the core.”
This announcement arrives in the thick of the ongoing Summer with Dying Light promotion, with Techland hosting 6 separate and unique weekend events right up until the end of August. Such community events will reward players with in-game items and power-ups, and at the time of writing we are currently half-way through the promotion.
Looking further afield, though, Dying Light fans will ultimately have to wait not-so-patiently until Gamescom kicks off on August 5. Be sure to check back with We Got This Covered when we’ll have full coverage of the event as it unfolds.
