Most gaming companies market their products on a single hook. For Bethesda’s Starfield, that hook includes almost everything you ever wished to do in a video game.

After multiple delays, Starfield is finally coming out this September, and Microsoft has decided to prepare the fanbase by sharing an extended 45-minute showcase. In it, the team at Bethesda, who are world-famous for developing some of the greatest games in history (e.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout), explains what they’ve been working on for the past eight years.

It’s not difficult to come to the conclusion that no game has ever attempted to be this ambitious. Boasting over 1000 explorable planets, and undoubtedly more than two hundred hours of content, Starfield might be the biggest RPG game in history.

And the cherry on top, according to some users, is that Starfield looks visually stunning on top of being expansive. What else would you want in a Bethesda experience?

As far as the internet is concerned, Xbox is finally redeemed.

And who cares if the game is too big? That just means you’re going to have to spend more time living in its visceral world.

People had high expectations of Starfield, but with today’s showcase, I think it’s safe to say that Bethesda understood the assignment and delivered on all the hype.

Now, let’s hope that the final game, coming out on Xbox Series X|S and PC on Sep. 6, is as good as this press conference makes it out to be.
