As promised, DICE has took some time to address some of the more press concerns relating to Star Wars Battlefront through a recent Q&A – though not all answers will be met with open arms.

First and foremost, the studio touched upon the Walker Assault mission which was demoed extensively throughout the course of E3, and during the shooter’s recent closed alpha. Taking place on the ice-cold vistas of Hoth, this skirmish in particular will feature numerous vehicles from the Star Wars canon, including AT-ATs and X-wings. However, while the former can’t be piloted by the players, that doesn’t necessarily rule out the opportunity to take to the skies as you side with either the Rebel Alliance or villainous Empire.

But perhaps the most notable announcement of the bunch is the fact that the PC version of Battlefront won’t include split-screen support, with DICE noting that co-op is set to be a console-exclusive feature.

Here’s what Mathew Everett, Star Wars Battlefront Community Manager, had to say about multiplayer, vehicle interplay and much more.

Q. How do vehicles spawn in Walker Assault?

A: In Walker Assault, vehicles are tied to the power up system. When you find a vehicle power up on the map, you will need to activate it, which immediately spawns you inside the vehicle.

Vehicle power ups specifically must be used within a certain amount of time. This is a design decision to allow more equal distribution of the vehicle power ups amongst all players.

Q. Can I fly the Y-wing?

A: Y-wings are non-player controlled vehicles. They are a support vehicle that you can call into battle within certain game modes.

Q. Is Split-screen available on PC?

A: Split-screen will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only.

Q. Does experience within Missions apply to multiplayer progression?

A: Playing Missions does not grant you multiplayer career experience, but it does provide you with credit rewards you can spend on buying unlocks.

Star Wars Battlefront will touch down on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
