For those of you holding out for Watch Dogs on Wii U — yes, you at the back — Ubisoft has finally confirmed that the open-world Orwellian title will release on Nintendo’s home console on November 18th and November 21st in North America and the UK, respectively.

Developed by Ubisoft Bucharest alongside the game’s primary studio, Ubisoft Montreal, the Wii U iteration of the title is said to take full advantage of the console’s GamePad, with the publisher encouraging players to “unlock Chicago on your GamePad” with support for off-TV play also being integrated.

Whether Watch Dogs can find an audience on Wii U so long after its release on other consoles — which will be almost six months come November — remains to be seen. That said, Ubisoft’s well-received title is set to make its way back into the headlines soon with the upcoming Bad Blood DLC.

Taking control of Raymond “T-Bone” Kennedy, players will gain access to a range of all-new content and mechanics. Perhaps the most exciting of all is the ability to deploy a remote-controlled car called Eugene to infiltrate the nefarious Blume organisation.

Ultimately, Watch Dogs will stand as the final mature title that Ubisoft release on the console, after the company noted back in July that another multi-platform title from the studio’s roster, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag “sold in very small numbers”.

Tell us, are you looking forward to Watch Dogs on Wii U? Or is this inopportune third-party support simply too little, too late? Let us know your thoughts below.
