Happy days for any undead-loving gardeners out there! PopCap has announced Plants vs. Zombies 2, the sequel to the 2009 smash hit Plants vs. Zombies. Additionally, the company has announced that the much-anticipated follow-up will be released next spring.
New features for the sequel include, obviously, new plants and new zombies, and also new dangers to protect your lawn from. Additionally, since the first game managed to nail the humour side of things, namely due to different vegetables destroying a wide array of the undead, I expect more of the same from its successor.
As of yet, there’s no word on what platforms the game will be released on. However, it would be reasonable to assume that it will hit the PC at launch, and eventually every other platform known to man (and some which currently aren’t) in the future. After all, the original title saw a release on everything from the mobile market to the Vita, and everything in-between.
Hopefully, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be similar to its predecessor, but bigger and better in every way. The ability to create your own plants, your own zombies and your own battles would be nice, but that’s probably hoping for too much.
