While it may have slipped out of the gates a little earlier than scheduled thanks to Bethesda’s pre-E3 rehearsal earlier today, the publisher formally revealed Dishonored 2 during its inaugural presser this evening.
Joining Corvo Attano for this latest adventure is Emily Kaldwin, and fans of the original stealth title will recognize her as the princess who lost her parents. In a setup not unlike Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, players will be able to control both male and female protagonists throughout the course of the sequel, and it’s exciting to see Bethesda incorporate this hot-button dynamic in its follow-up.

Dishonored 2 takes your protagonist — choose between Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin — to the coastal city of Karnaca where the choices you make will have significant impact on the world.
Both assassins have their own unique set of powers, weapons, and tools to provide creative and exciting new ways to eliminate targets.
While developer Arkane Studios didn’t necessarily reveal much beyond the high-res vertical slice embedded above, it’s understood that Dishonored 2 will slink onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2016.
