Whether you’re retired from Star Wars Battlefront, had little incentive to play it or just simply burnt yourself out from playing the same maps too much, EA and DICE are giving you a rather good reason to get back into the action during the months of August and September.
Assuming you never got around to picking up the shooter’s season pass (or just don’t like buying DLC), starting from August 19, you’ll be able to play Battlefront‘s most recent add-on – Bespin – completely free until August 21.
If you can’t commit to playing on those dates though, don’t worry – a second trial period will begin on September 12, and this one runs all the way up to September 18. For those unaware of what new content awaits in Cloud City, new maps, weapons, heroes and Star Cards are all included, as well as the ability to fly those bizarre, bright orange twin-pod ships.
Two further expansions are due to release for Star Wars Battlefront over the rest of the year and beyond. Due this fall is the Death Star DLC, and then following that in early 2017 is the recently revealed Rogue One: Scarif add-on, which will tie-in with the upcoming film of the same name.
