Alongside the official reveal of Sony’s PS4 Neo, developer Infinity Ward took to the stage in New York’s PlayStation Theater to offer up a new look at Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in action. It’ll be compatible with the PS4 Pro from the get-go, as will Modern Warfare Remastered, while Treyarch’s Black Ops 3 will receive a title update in the coming weeks.
It’s part of Sony’s new strategy to accommodate the arrival of the Pro model in November, and it should be noted that all current and future PS4 titles will be compatible with the 4K-capable machine. Indeed, Infinite Warfare wasn’t the only upcoming release to receive the spotlight this evening, after both Mass Effect: Andromeda and Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn got new gameplay demos as well to flaunt the capabilities of PS4 Pro.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare deploys for duty on November 4, and We Got This Covered recently went hands-on with both the shooter’s multiplayer and the ever-popular Zombies mode. Spoilers: Beyond some small gripes, they’re both shaping up quite nicely.
Stay tuned for more on PS4 Pro as we get it. Touting 4K support and streaming out of the box, Sony’s revised hardware is pegged to hit shelves on November 10. It’ll be priced at $399. On the other end of the PlayStation spectrum, the entry-level PS4 Slim will launch in September for $299.
