Hideo Kojima is at it once more, dear friends. After his horror-infused stint trolled the industry in the wake of Gamescom — while also introducing us to the Norman Reedus-led Silent Hills, of course — the esteemed director has published a string of enticing Tweets in regards to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Before debuting an all-new gameplay clip that features controversial mute sniper, Quiet, Kojima Tweeted a single image that reads ‘Metal Gear Solid Collection 2014’, hinting that a brand new collection could be on its way to current-gen consoles and maybe, just maybe, PC platforms as well.

Of course, The Phantom Pain itself is en route to PC — via a tongue-in-cheek cardboard box announcement — so it’s logical that Kojima would bring the existing franchise to Steam as well in the form of this as yet unannounced remaster.
Whether the purported Metal Gear Solid Collection makes an appearance during next week’s Toyko Game Show remains to be seen. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the potential rerelease as more information appears.
