Platformer-loving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will be able to run, jump and glide to the sweet sounds and great visuals of Rayman Legends come February. This news was just made official through a Ubisoft press release, which confirmed that the Game of the Year contender’s exact North American release date will be February 25, while European and British gamers will have to wait until the 27th and 28th to get their hands on the game.
While the PlayStation 4 version of Rayman Legends will utilize its controller’s touchpad to let players scratch the Lucky Tickets that they earn and accomplish other tasks, the Xbox One version of the limbless wonder’s triumph will feature 10 exclusive challenges that will pertain to time-sensitive achievements. Both versions will, however, contain an assortment of exclusive costumes, most of which will apparently be shared. The exception seems to be Assassin Ray, who is a PS4 exclusive that must be unlocked via Uplay.
To celebrate this announcement, Ubisoft has released a browser-based demo for the PC version of the game, which can be found here. Additionally, the company has also debuted its release date announcement trailer, which unexpectedly features musical artist Snoop Lion.
If you’ve yet to play Rayman Legends, and happen to own one of the noted next-gen devices, then it behooves you to check it out. It’s a masterpiece of digital platforming nature.

They will also be able to buy the Funky Ray costume with Uplay points.

The Playstation®4 will allow use of the Playstation®4 controller’s touchpad for actions such as scratching Lucky Tickets, as well as making and sharing screenshots and videos with the community, and using the Playstation® Vita to continue playing the game even with the TV turned off.
In preparation for the launch on next-gen, a browser-based PC demo of Rayman Legends is now available to play online. The demo will feature three different levels from the Rayman universe. Rayman Legends is the sequel to the already acclaimed platformer Rayman Origins. In this opus, Rayman and Globox awaken after a 100-year nap that allowed nightmares to infest the Glade of Dreams. The Supreme Being Bubble Dreamer sends them once again on an adventure to fight the evil creatures and restore order in the universe. Rayman Legends features a wide range of gameplay, including traditional Rayman platforming action and new musical, rhythm-based stages. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers has also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman’s previous graphics to the next level.
