UPDATE: Sony has confirmed that The Last of Us: Remastered will be coming to PS4 this summer.
The existence of a forthcoming PlayStation 4 port of last year’s Naughty Dog-developed PS3 hit, The Last of Us is looking increasingly likely. Besides a recent quote from a Eurasian Sony representative that kicked off speculation last month, the official Sony Entertainment Network Store website’s Games section has a banner displayed at the top, advertising the opportunity to pre-order The Last of Us: Remastered for $59.99 on PS4.
There isn’t much else in the way of additional information at the moment, as clicking the link only results in a “page not found” error, a possible sign that someone in Sony’s web department may have jumped the gun in advertising the game before an official announcement was made and its corresponding information page was set up. If the earlier rep’s quote turns out to be factual, though, then you can expect to be able to pick up the game both physically and digitally on the same day some time this summer.
We will keep you updated on future news regarding The Last of Us as it drops.
