My god, it’s almost here! I’ve been waiting for Retro City Rampage for years, but all of that is about to pay off. The best game to never come out of the 80’s is set to release on PS3, Vita and PC tomorrow bringing one of most unique titles of the year to the masses. (Xbox 360 and Wii owners will just have to wait a bit longer)
If somehow you’ve managed to miss out on the hype train so far, you really should be ashamed. Imagine an old school Grand Theft Auto title absolutely filled to the brim with references to almost every major title from the 8 bit era as well as poking fun at every one of gaming’s tropes.
It’s really a magnificent thing to behold. Over 25 weapons and power-ups, 50+ driveable vehicles (Including a not so subtle nod to Donkey Kong) and 60 story missions wait to be discovered. Best of all, it’s only $14.99.
