Rise Of The Tomb Raider‘s first story-focused DLC, Baba Yaga: The Temple Of The Witch hits Xbox One on January 26, Microsoft have confirmed. Developer for the sequel to the 2013 reboot Crystal Dynamics have promised “hours of gameplay” to those who decide to partake in another adventure as one of gaming’s most famous icons, but for what cost?
No price for the individual expansion has been announced by either party just yet, so all we can tell you in regards to how much this new slice of content will set you back is that Temple Of The Witch is included in the game’s season pass which currently stands at $30.
The expansion’s official description reads:
This adventure expands the story of the main campaign with Lara facing deadly new adversaries, exploring a new puzzle-filled tomb, and solving a decades old mystery, all culminating in a showdown with an ancient and mythic evil. Includes a new outfit, and a new bow.
Baba Yaga: The Temple Of The Witch is just the first expansion planned for Rise Of The Tomb Raider, a second – Cold Darkness Awakened – is due out later this year. There hasn’t been a peep yet, in regards to whether Baba Yaga will be released for PC or Xbox 360 at the same time as for Xbox One – or even at all – but we’ll keep you updated if any news surfaces.
Rise Of The Tomb Raider released in November 2015 as a timed exclusive for Xbox One, with an Endurance Mode DLC having been made available just before the end of 2015. If you’re still mulling over the decision to buy Lara’s second outing post-reboot, you can check out our review here.
