Psyonix have confirmed the release date for Rocket League‘s new mode, Snow Day, in which the usual high-speed game of football will be switched to a chilly game of ice hockey, replacing the ball with a huge puck. The new mode, which will be a free update and replace the Mutator Mashup online playlist, will arrive on December 14th.
Getting in touch with their festive side, Psyonix are also releasing a few Christmas-themed items, which will be randomly dropped during matches; there is no need to earn them through winning. The full list of items, according to the game’s Steam page, is as follows:
- “Xmas” Rocket Trail
- “Blitzen” Topper
- “Christmas Tree” Topper
- “Sad Sapling” Topper
- “Santa” Topper
- “Candy Cane” Antenna
- “Holiday Gift” Antenna
All of these Christmas goodies are yours to keep once you’ve got them, but be warned: they are only available for a limited time. If you don’t manage to grab them all before January 4th, you will have to wait until next year’s holiday season to roll around.
