Players may still be pulling themselves together after Juli Kidman’s harrowing journey in The Assignment, but Bethesda isn’t giving horror fans much respite after the publisher confirmed that The Evil Within‘s second batch of story DLC, The Consequence, will debut on April 21.
April 21 just so happens to be a Tuesday, so this release date will herald the expansion’s arrival on PC and Xbox platforms, along with PlayStation platforms in North America. As for those PlayStation owners in Europe, The Consequence won’t be sending chills down your spine until a day later, on April 22.
To offer fans a tease of all the grotesque, nightmare fuel that is to come, Bethesda released the following snippet.
“If you’ve already completed part one of Juli Kidman’s adventure and are dying to know what happens next, and we’re happy to inform you won’t have to wait long to see her story through.”
The Assignment and The Consequence are two thirds of Tango Gameworks’ three-part expansion that revolve around Kidman, who served in The Evil Within‘s main campaign as Sebastian Castellanos’ partner in supernatural crime. The final chapter, The Executioner, is due to release later this year and will lend more screentime to The Keeper, the box-headed monstrosity that has been stalking our nightmares ever since we overcome Shinji Mikami’s return to the genre.
We’ll keep you updated on all the information pertaining to The Evil Within‘s sophomore expansion, The Consequence, as it gears up for its April 21 release.
