Heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime in early 2016 is Shadow Complex Remastered, an upgraded version of ChAIR Entertainment’s beloved and award-winning sidescroller. That isn’t all, though, as the remastered version of the hit game was also developed for PC and is currently available as a free download for the holidays. Don’t snooze, though, because it’s only going to be that way until December 31st.
A 2009 fan favourite, Shadow Complex won multiple awards and engrained itself as one of Xbox Live Arcade’s best games. At least, that’s the consensus. For some reason, I’ve yet to play through it myself.
Alongside a visually and mechanically improved iteration of the core game, Shadow Complex Remastered will also feature new achievements and trophies, additional Master Challenges and dynamic melee takedowns.
“Bringing Shadow Complex to a larger audience of gamers across multiple platforms has always been one of our goals at Chair,” said Donald Mustard, co-founder and creative director at the studio. “We’re super excited to introduce a remastered version to fans, old and new, and for the opportunity it creates for us to do more in the Shadow Complex universe.”
Stay tuned for more information pertaining to Shadow Complex Remastered as it develops.
