Sly Cooper has certainly seen a revival of sorts lately. Along with the new game still scheduled later this year on PS3, a post on the PlayStation Blog confirms that the game will be shipping day and date on the PS Vita as well.
While the release date is still as vague as “Fall 2012,” the simultaneous release on both home and handheld consoles is certainly a great thing. The blog post also confirms that you’ll be able to use cross-save functionality to transfer your saved games from one console to the other and keep on playing, similar to what games like WipEout 2048 and MLB 12 The Show have already done.
What it unfortunately doesn’t confirm is whether or not the two versions of the game will be packaged together for a discounted price. But we can only hope.
What say you, gamers? What system are you picking it up for?
